I received my tummy tub on Monday and I have to tell you that my 11 week old son, Connor, absolutely loves it!!!! He actually cried when I took him out the first time. I bought this tub in Germany in 2001 when I was in the Army and pregnant. I used it for both my kids, and now another on the way. I got my tummy tub! My 7 week old daughter LOVES it!!! I'm so glad I bought it. My 4 other kids get a kick out of watching the baby in the TT. They also love to use the step stool when it's not being used with the TT. It's a great product,thanks for offering them here in the US,they are not easy to find! I wish I had this with my other 4 kids!

"Being the medical superintendent of the gynaecological department of the Pforzheim hospital I learned about the TummyTub® in a very early stage. The personnel of our maternity units, as well as the personnel of the nursery wards, and the teachers of the pre- and post natal classes asked for this bathing device. That’s how I was able – as soon as this bath was available – to judge personally, that a baby feels very comfortable in the TummyTub®. At one of my night rounds I visited a baby, who was crying inconsolably, while the mother was at her wits‘ end. To handle this situation I recommended a bath in the TummyTub®, and in my and the midwives presence the baby was bathed. After a short time the baby calmed down and was apparently feeling very happy. First of all, from a medical point of view, I consider the position of the child in the TummyTub® as being very good, as the newborn is able to contact the wall both with its hands and feet. This creates for the newborn a situation similar to the womb. It can move its feet and arms freely, which leads to careful scanning of the available room. This in contrast to the traditional ‚childrens‘ bath, in which the baby – because of the size of the bath – can’t touch the walls at all. Apart from that, is it hindered in its movements by the hands of the father or mother. That’s why I – as a doctor – can recommend this kind of bathing with the TummyTub® to every maternity hospital."
